Before there was Transformation Wellness Club, there was Slayed by Tay. A college hustle that turned into a full business.

In 2016, Owner, Emerald Blessings, began braiding hair as a way to make money in college. Due to participating in collegiate athletics, obtaining a traditional job was not feasible. Instead, Emerald created a braiding side gig where she was earlier known as Slayed by Tay. Through her college studies, Emerald began to grow and transform what originally was planned to be a side hustle into an impacting business in the city of Riverside, California. In 2020, she graduated and received a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal studies from the University of California, Riverside. In 2021, Emerald furthered her education at Tony & Guy, Costa Mesa, to obtain a license in cosmetology, which was completed in 2022.

In April of 2023, Transformation Wellness Club was born. Emerald opened her first retail space after years of developing her business identity in other establishments and private suite spaces. She later expanded in June of 2024 adding on a full service salon. From a dorm lounge and bathroom to brick and morter, Transformation Wellness Club is now a 1600 sq ft establishment with versatile services catering to beauty and wellness.

The mission statement of Transformation Wellness Club is to empower individuals on their journey of holistic well-being by nurturing the Mind, Body and Soul through beauty and wellness. We inspire to have lasting change to help our members unlock their full potential for a balanced and fulfilled life.
